How do I book a Far Out West Vacations property?+
All three of our properties — Maui Bliss, Hillside Haven, and Artist's Hideaway — are available for direct booking at faroutwestvacations.com. Booking direct means you pay no OTA service fees. You can also email us at hello@faroutwestvacations.com for the best rates and personalized service.
What is the payment schedule?+
20% of the total amount is due at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due 21 days before arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?+
You receive a 100% refund of paid prepayments when you cancel 21 days or more before arrival.
Are there any booking or service fees?+
No. Because you book directly with us rather than through an online travel agency (OTA), there are no added service fees or middleman markups.
What are the check-in and check-out times?+
Maui Bliss: check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM, with self check-in via keypad and reserved parking (Spot 363). Hillside Haven: check-in 3:00 PM, check-out 12:00 PM, self check-in with free on-site parking. Artist's Hideaway: self check-in with on-site parking.
Where is Maui Bliss located and what makes it special?+
Maui Bliss is a 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo at Kamaole Sands Resort (Building 3, Unit 106) at 2695 S. Kihei Rd., Kihei, Maui. It sleeps up to 4 with 2 beds, has a first-floor garden lanai, dual-unit AC, and on-site pool, hot tub, and fitness center. It's a 3-minute walk to Kamaole Beach Park III.
Where is Hillside Haven located and what makes it special?+
Hillside Haven is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation home in the Hillside neighborhood of Anchorage, Alaska, sleeping up to 2. It's two blocks from hiking trails, 10 minutes to the Chugach State Park Glen Alps trailhead, 15 minutes to downtown, and a great base for Northern Lights viewing (September–March).
Where is Artist's Hideaway located and what makes it special?+
Artist's Hideaway is a 1-bedroom home on the main floor of a residential property in the Greenwood neighborhood of North Seattle, sleeping up to 3. It's filled with plants, eclectic artwork, and a private back deck, with a rapid-transit bus to downtown Seattle one block away and Greenwood Ave restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Are your properties licensed and compliant?+
Yes. Far Out West Vacations is Hawaii GET/TAT licensed and compliant with Alaska and Washington short-term rental regulations. We are a boutique, owner-managed operation with no management-company middleman.
Who manages Far Out West Vacations?+
All properties are personally managed by Kelley Maves / Maves Management LLC. Far Out West Vacations is a registered trade name of Maves Management LLC, an Alaska limited liability company registered to do business in Hawaii. We've been hosting since 2019.
