FAR OUT WEST VACATIONS

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Far Out West Vacations (“Far Out West Vacations,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a registered trade name of Maves Management LLC, an Alaska limited liability company registered to do business in Hawaii. We operate the website faroutwestvacations.com (the “Site”) and offer direct-booking vacation rentals in Kihei (Maui), Anchorage (Alaska), and Greenwood (Seattle).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including how we use your information for advertising, remarketing, and audience-matching services such as Google Customer Match.

By using the Site or providing us your information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. We collect information you provide when you: request information, ask a question, or contact us (for example, through a form or by emailing hello@faroutwestvacations.com); request a quote, inquire about availability, or make a booking or reservation; sign up to receive offers, promotions, or updates; connect to guest Wi-Fi at one of our properties, where offered; or otherwise communicate with us.

This information may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, dates of travel, party size, booking details, and any message content you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies, tags, pixels, and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, approximate location, and how you interact with the Site. We use tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for this purpose.

Information from booking and payment partners. When you book through our Site, our booking and payment providers (for example, Lodgify and connected payment processors) collect the information needed to process your reservation and payment. When you book one of our properties through an online travel agency (“OTA”) such as Airbnb or VRBO, we receive limited guest and reservation information from that platform as needed to host your stay.

We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers ourselves; card details are handled by our booking and payment processors.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to: respond to your inquiries and provide the information or quotes you request; process, confirm, and manage bookings and your stay, including check-in details, house manuals, and guest communications; operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; send you booking-related and service messages; with an appropriate legal basis or your consent where required, send you promotional offers, discounts, and updates about our properties; build, measure, and improve our advertising and marketing, including remarketing and audience matching (see Section 4); and comply with our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information for money. Certain advertising activities described in Section 4 may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some U.S. state privacy laws; you can opt out as described in Sections 4 and 6.

We share information with: Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — including website hosting (Vercel), booking software (Lodgify), payment processors, email/communications tools, and analytics and advertising providers (including Google) — under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing services to us. Advertising partners for the marketing purposes described in Section 4. Online travel agencies (Airbnb, VRBO) when your reservation originates on their platform, as needed to fulfill your stay. Legal and safety recipients — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, our business, or others. A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

4. Advertising, remarketing, and Google Customer Match

We use online advertising to reach past and prospective guests. This includes remarketing (showing our ads to people who have visited our Site) and customer-list audience matching, including Google Customer Match.

How Customer Match works. With Google Customer Match, we may share contact information you have given us — such as your email address, phone number, name, and location — with Google. Google encrypts (hashes) this information and matches it against signed-in Google accounts so that we can show, tailor, suppress, or measure ads to you and reach audiences with similar characteristics across Google services (such as Search, YouTube, Gmail, and the Display Network). We only upload information that we collected directly from you in a first-party context and that you have consented to share where consent is required.

Third-party advertising cookies. We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) together with third-party cookies (such as the Google advertising cookie) to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site, and to report how our ad impressions and interactions with ad services relate to visits to our Site.

Your advertising choices. You can control this advertising in several ways:

  • Opt out of Far Out West Vacations' Customer Match audiences. Email us at hello@faroutwestvacations.com with the subject line “Advertising Opt-Out” and we will remove your information from our advertising audiences and will not upload it to Customer Match going forward.
